In some cases it will be held as long as necessary to carry out our obligations under statute. We will comply with statutory requirements regarding the retention of such records. This will usually not exceed six years from our services being engaged.

Where an Insolvency Practitioner of West Advisory Limited is appointed as office holder, the data processing is carried out as part of their statutory
duties. The office holder is the data controller. Where an Insolvency Practitioner of West Advisory Ltd is not appointed as office holder, the data controller is either the company/individual on whose instructions West Advisory Limited is acting or it is West Advisory Limited.
How we use personal data
The purpose for which personal information is processed may include:
• deliver services and allow us to carry out our work as insolvency practitioners
• dealing with claims of individuals
• corresponding with creditors, employees, Directors or shareholders

Most processing is carried out to comply with our legal obligations in relation to the insolvency process. Our processing is for the legitimate interests of all stakeholders in the insolvency proceedings.
What data we hold and how long we retain it
Contact details, financial information, location, identification for the above purposes. In rare cases, we may hold some special category data, e.g. health records, which, unless they are necessary to administer the insolvency process, we will not be processing special category data.
